Lee Council House

Located in historic Americus, The Lee Council House is a premiere venue for weddings, receptions, holiday parties, and community events. Hosting your special occasion at the Council House keeps the history of the house alive and supports the Historic Trust’s preservation efforts within the community.

The southern charm of the historic home is embellished with stained glass backing the historic staircase, Corinthian columns surrounding the wrap-around porch, and intricate chandeliers and fireplaces in just about each room. Recent upgrades to the Lee Council House include new paint throughout, updated lighting, and improvements to accommodate those with disabilities.

Rentals

The two-story House features several rooms often used for event seating, providing meals, and a dance area. The living area offers a permanent bar and seating. The House also features a private second floor offering a bridal suite, grooms suite, and large conference area. Renters are also given full use of kitchen areas during the event often held for catering services with complete set of fine dining dishes. Chairs and tables are available upon request.

The Lee Council House offers a unique, historic interior and outdoor spaces that are perfect for a range of wedding sizes. Special touches include private spaces for your bridal party to prepare.
